With more than 20 years of business and entrepreneurial experience, Markus Bodenmeier has held several C-level positions in companies from various industries. In the past 10 years, he has strongly focused on the sustainable development sector with CFO, co-founder and partner roles at family offices Nixdorf Kapital AG and AQAL AG, managing and advising on sustainable investments in health, clean energy and re-forestry within the family offices itself and their portfolio companies. Since 2019, he is DACH CIO of the Climate Endowment Group, a climate-focused investment company employing the multi-asset class endowment style, pioneered by Yale and Harvard university endowments. ​

Markus Bodenmeier has also substantial investing and management experience in other industries, first and foremost as Managing Director of family office smileabit GmbH, with investments in tech, software and industrial service companies (i.a. HPI AG, eprolog AG and UBH software, also leading HPI AG in a reverse IPO). ​

He held Advisory Board and Supervisory Board positions in Green Heritage Holding GmbH, HPI AG, HPI Fleet and Mobility AG and is still holding such roles at eprolog AG and act to impact AG. ​
